David de Montaigne
CHAIRMAN & CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER:
David de Montaigne is British and a founder of the company with over 36 years in the energy and investment banking sectors. As a former pertoleum engineer and 10 year veteran of the Schlumberger group leading to his appointment as a a senior executive with Dow-Schlumberger, he has managed major operations within: the Middle East, North Africa, South America, Soth East Asia and Europe. During this period he has implemented, commissioned and operated several multi-million dollar projects in some of the most challenging environments in the world including such diverse locations as; the Amazon basin in Brazil, the deserts of Libiya and Saudi Arabia to the UK's most challenging offshore environment the North Sea.
David has worked in the consultancy industry as a government, corporate and bank advisor in energy, oil and renewable energy project finance and due diligence. He has worked extensivly within the Renewable Energy industry sucsessfully advising on the delivery and project financing of wind, biomass and solar projects within the Philippines, the Eastern Block, Europe and China.
As Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Global Green Power PLC Corporation, it's subsidiaries and affiliate companies he is responsible for the overall strategy, management and coporate governance of the group.
Steve Waterfield
MANAGING DIRECTOR:
Steve Waterfield is British, Kitson College of Engineering EET 1&2 Electrical Engineering, MET 1&2 Mechanical Engineering, Technological Diploma Mechanical Engineering with B.A. (Hons) International Business Studies at Leeds University and M.Sc Project Management and Consulting at Nottingham University.
Steve has 35 years of professional experience in the development, construction, operation and maintenance of international power generation assets and over 20 years technical, commercial and operational management experience in South East Asia. Previously with the United Kingdom's Central Electricity Generating Board ("CEGB") for 12 years where his last assignment was Portfolio Optimization Manager. In 1992 he joined PowerGen International developing projects in India, Thailand, Australia, Korea and the Philippines and subsequently from 2002 until 2008 was International Business Manager - Asia Pacific for E.ON UK Technology. Finally, before joining Global Green Power PLC Steve was Regional Manager - South East Asia for E.ON AG (Climate Renewables) leading the E.ON carbon sourcing team with full responsibility for E.ON operations in Thailand, Philippines, Indonesia, Malaysia and Vietnam.
As Managing Director, Steve leads the Global Green Power PLC Corporation's development and implementation teams with operational responsibility for the delivery of GGPC projects to the highest Environmental, Performance, Operational and Safety standard that meet or surpass International Finance Corporation ("IFC") and World Bank global standards.
Maribeth de Montaigne
PRESIDENT:
Maribeth de Montaigne is a Filipina and a founder of the company with 20 years experience in Community Development and Renewable Energy as well as coordinating Government and Major International Institutions working in Europe, Thailand, Indonesia, China, Cambodia, Vietnam, North America and the Philippines.
As President Maribeth heads Global Green Power PLC Crporation's Socio-economic and Poverty Alleviation programs development and implementation working with our Host Communities, Local Government Units, the National Government and Non-government organizations. These programs include the management of Global Green Power PLC Corporations: "Code of Business Ethics" (COBE), "Biomass Fair Pricing Policy", and the "Share the Renewable Energy Advantage" (SHARE) projects. Maribeth is also the primary point of contact with the Philippines Congress and Senate where she delivers our Thermal Biomass Renewable Energy (TBRE) awarness campaign.
Roddy Grant
CHIEF TECHNOLOGY OFFICER:
Roddy Grant is British, Glasgow University BSc Hons. (First Class) Electronics and Electrical Engineering, Cambridge University MA Economics, ACA Diploma in Accounting Finance with professional courses at INSEAD, IMD, Harvard, Sundridge Park and Dunchurch.
With 35 years of experience Roddy was Vice President of Bombardier Transportation where from 2006 to 2007 he restructured the 2,800 employee UKP 400 Million, UK services business and from 2003 to 2005 was Chief Executive Officer of Saudi Arabia based Al Rushaid Investment Company where he was tasked to expand acquisitions. In 2001 to 2003 Roddy was seconded as Chief Operating Officer AMEC Americas in Toronto by AMEC UK to integrate the recently acquired 8,000 employee, UKP 1.1 billion engineering, design and construction business with operations across America and Canada. From 1996 to 2000 Roddy was the Divisional Managing Director AMEC UK, responsible for Oil, Gas, Power, Process, Engineering, Mechanical and Electrical Contracting and Construction with revenues of UKP 750 million and 8,000 employees. Roddy also gained significant experience working with GEC ALSTHOM from 1984 to 1996 as Managing Director of GEC ALSTHOM China Limited, Director of Business Development Gas Turbine Division UK, Managing Director of the Low Voltage Group UK and Manager of GEC Meters Energy Management Systems.
As Chief Technology Officer Roddy ensures that GGPC's Engineering Construction and Procurment (EPC) contracts incorporate the latest prooven technology optimizing power plant performance and environmental compliance whilst ensuring that all contracts are compliant within the arenas in which GGPC operate.
John Cesar B. Santos
DIRECTOR OF PROJECT DEVELOPMENT:
Cesar Santos if Fillipino and holds a Masters Degree on Energy and Environmental Economics from the Scuola Superiore Enrico Mattei in Milan, Italy. He successfully completed a Chevening Fellowship Award from the British Council and the UK Foreign Commonwealth Office (FCO) for a 3-month intensive training course on Energy Efficiency at the Institute of Energy and Sustainable Development of De Montfort University in Leicester, England.
Cesar has more than 20 years of experience in the energy/environment policy & planning fields, project management & development, communications & research, and events’ management. Highlights of his career were working for the UK-Department of Trade and Industry and the World Energy Council on the Centre of Excellence for Sustainable Energy Project, for the EC-ASEAN Cogen3 Programme, for USAID and Winrock International’s AMORE Program and for the Jakarta-based ASEAN-EC Energy Management Training & Research Centre (AEEMTRC), the predecessor of the ASEAN Centre for Energy (ACE).
As the Director of Project Development, Caesar is responsible for the development of our thermal biomass power plants throughout the 3 regions of the Philippines in the Visayas, Luzon and Mindanao. His responsibilities span from leadership in the initial selection of our biomass power plants locations through to the development of all infrastructure and biomass contracting to support each project.
Reden G. Rodriguez
COMMERCIAL MANAGER OF BIOMASS AND POWER:
Reden Rodriguez has acquired a Master's Degree in Business Administration and a Bachelor's Degree in Agricultural Economics from the University of the Philippines. He has worked in the renewable energy field for the last 15 years having served as project manager for the development of a commercially operating rice-husk fired thermal plant in Luzon and two industrial bio-ethanol distillery and co-generation facilities in the Philippines. He has extensive experience in the production process of biomass, biomass systems and logistics and has also supervised several internationally supported biomass sourcing and processing studies including the 2-year EC-ASEAN Energy Fund biomass investigation. Reden has significant experience in the development and negotiation of commercial contracts, electricity off-take agreements as well as engineering and construction contracts.
Reden's responsibilities include the development of commercial strategy and financial modeling to optimize Global Green Power PLC Corporation's electricity sales through to the development of efficient biomass contracting and power plant operations
Ramon "Boy" Apura
GENERAL MANAGER - Biomass & Infrastructure (VISAYAS):
Boy Apura is a founding member of the Green Power Panay Philippines Inc. team and has managed the implementation of the 35 MW thermanl biomass project in Mina on the Island of Panay in the Visayas. Boy spent 31 years working with ILECO II Distribution Utility in Iloilo lastly as General Manager where his duties included all aspects; technical, business and network management. Mr. Apura and his team were responsible for attaing the A+ rating the ILOECO 2 Electric Cooperative now enjoys.
Boy has led the local development Green Power Panay Philippines Inc., from securing the site location, converting land, securing local licensing, developing and contracting biomass with local farming groups and food processing industries. He is responsible for the development all projects within the Visayas Region.
Recto C. Doctor
GENERAL MANAGER - Biomass & Infrastructure (MINDANAO):
Recto Doctor graduated Bachelor of Science in Agriculture from Nueva Ecija University of Science and Technology in Cabanatuan City, Nueva Ecjia and is an Masters of Business Administration candidate at the Xavier University in Cagayan de Oro. He has almost 25 years in supervisory and management experiance within: agro-indrustrial companies, rural and socio-economic development, renewable energy biofuel crop production, agriculture and forestry projects. Recto has worked extensivly throughout Mindanao organizing biofuels plantations and building community and institutional development, alliance building and networking. He was the Area Manager for Winrock International USAID Alliance for Mindanao Off-Grid Renewable Energy (Clean Energy Group), where he led the development of 112 off-grid barangays (villages) implementing and commissioning solar and micro-hydro systems, potable water systems and electrified 23 schools. He also worked with ACIL PTY Limited Philippine Australian Local Sustainability Program where he developed extension support programs for provincial and agricultural offices. With the Japan Bank for International Coopertation Recto worked on the development of forestry, re-forestation, preparing and execution business plans to achieve JBIC objectives. He also worked with the European Union - Dept of Agriculture working with communities and government to develop cash crop plantations in the Visayas region.

He is responsible for the development all projects within the Mindanao Region.
Jane T. Afidchao
MANAGER - Biomass & Infrastructure (NORTH LUZON):
Jane Afidchao is a 2008 Bachelor of Science in Forestry (Major in Forestry Resource Management) graduate of the Nueva Vizcaya State University (NVSU) and one of the Commission on Higher Education-Special Study Grant Program scholarship grantee. As a consistent dean’s lister, she was awarded the Academic Excellence Award and managed to be the Board First Placer in the Philippine Forester’s Licensure Examination (FLE) on the same year.
Jane has a significant training and experience of Geographic Information System (GIS) Mapping and Technical Researches having served three years with the National Mapping and Resource Information Authority of the Dept. of the Environment and National Resources. She has instructed Forest Resource management at the Nueva Viscaya State University and was a Science Research Specialist at the Ifugao State College of Agriculture and Forestry as well as a Community Development Organizer at the Philippine Rural Development movement training communities in sustainable forestry and resource management.
Jane has led the local development Green Power Cagayan Philippines Inc., from inception, securing the site location, converting land, securing local licensing, developing and contracting biomass with local farming groups and food processing industries. She is responsible for the development all projects within the Norther Luzon Region. Jane is also in charge of Global Green Power PLC Corporation National GIS Biomass Mapping and Technical Research.
Mark Gil Verzola
MANAGER - Biomass & Infrastructure (SOUTH LUZON):
Mark Verzola holds a degree in Bachelor of Science in Biology from the University of the Philippines-Cebu on a full Department of Science and Technology – Science Education Institute (DOST-SEI) scholarship. He has worked as an assistant researcher in a study for air pollution caused primarily by coal-fired power plant emissions in Cebu. Mark’s primary responsibilities include support on project development activities such as preparation of due diligence packages to secure the necessary permits and licenses for the power plant project as well as documentation for CDM project registration. He also assists in the preparation of feasibility studies, biomass data collection and computation of biomass statistics and fuel specifications. Currently, Mark is a candidate for a Master on Environment and Natural Resources Management degree at the University of the Philippines Open University.
Leovigildo S. Carias
HEAD of PROJECT DEVELOPMENT (Licensing & Permitting):
Leo Carias has 17 years of professional experience in the energy sector: Planning, Renewable and Electric Industry units of the Philippines Department of Energy. A decade spent in the promotion and implementation of renewable energy activities to commercialize RE technologies throughout the Philippines prior to the enactment of Republic Act No. 9513, otherwise known as Renewable Energy Act of 2008. Likewise, he was involved in the implementation of Energy Regulations No. 1-94 benefits to host communities/regions. As the Head of Project Development (Licensing and Permitting), Leo is in-charge of securing all the relevant permits and licenses for the power plant projects of the GGPC group of companies through the preparation of due diligence packages. He graduated from the University of Southern Mindanao and the Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Maynila with a degree in Bachelor of Science in Agri-Business and Master in Government Management respectively.
Rainelda P. Manduriao
HEAD of PROJECT DEVELOPMENT (Contracts & Legal):
Rain Manduriao has 17 years of experience in the energy sector, involved in the licensing and regulation of the downstream oil industry prior to Republic Act No. 8479 (Deregulation Act of 1998) and the implementation of the rules and regulations RA 8479, she was involved in the implementation of Energy Regulations No. 1-94 which provides benefits to communities hosting energy resources and/or Generating Facilities. She graduated from the University of the East with a Bachelor of Laws degree. As Company’s Head of Project Development (Legal), Rain handles, among others, the preparation of Biomass Supply Contracts and assists in the preparation of feasibility studies. She also assists in the securing all the relevant permits and licenses for the power plant projects of the GGPC group of companies through the preparation of due diligence packages.
Joel B. Paculba
SENIOR PROJECT DEVELOPMENT SPECIALIST:
Joel Paculba handles the development of biomass supply materials and execution of biomass feedstock supply contracts from farmers, farmers’ cooperatives and irrigators associations in Bukidnon. He also assists in project development activities for Global Biomass Corporation and other subsidiary companies of Global Green Power PLC Corporation. Joel has an Agricultural Engineering degree from the Central Mindanao University in Bukidnon specializing in Farm Machinery and as was a consistent university scholar from 2000 to 2003.
Bernabe L. Sucaldito
SENIOR PROJECT DEVELOPMENT SPECIALIST:
Bernabe Sucaldito handles the development of biomass supply materials and execution of supply contracts with biomass suppliers ranging from rice farmers and millers to corn and sugar millers. He assists in project development activities for Global Biomass PLC Corporation and other subsidiary companies of Global Green Power PLC Corporation. He graduated from the Western Institute of Technology-Iloilo with the degree in Commerce major in Management Accounting.
Benjie S. Palisada
SENIOR PROJECT DEVELOPMENT SPECIALIST:
Benjie Palisada is in charge for the expansion of biomass collection and executing the program support and coordination of the Biomass contracts from rice farmers and millers and sugar millers in particular. He assists in project development activities for Global Biomass Corporation and other subsidiary companies of Global Green Power. He’s a graduate of Internet and technology and Website Design at AMA Computer Learning Center.
Ronaldo U. Chacon
PROJECT DEVELOPMENT SPECIALIST:
Ronaldo Chacon assist in the coordination efforts with farmers’ and irrigators’ associations, different barangay and municipal associations to secure the required biomass feedstock supply contracts for the power plant project. He also provides assistance in interacting with land owners on the possibility of developing a working relationship for the setting up of trans-loading stations for the biomass logistical operations. He’s a graduate of Aircraft Maintenance and Technology at Philippine Aeronautics Training School.
Dodgie S. Verzola
PROJECT DEVELOPMENT SPECIALIST:
Dodgie Verzola assists in securing the biomass feedstock supply contracts from farmers, farmers’ cooperatives and irrigators associations in Bukidnon. He also assists in project development activities for Global Biomass Corporation and other subsidiary companies of Global Green Power PLC Corporation. Dodgie is a Bachelor of Science in Forestry graduate from the Central Mindanao University in Bukidnon.

Valdimar Desebayla graduated from the Liceo de Cagayan University in Cagayan de Oro City with a Degree of Bachelor of Science in Business Administration major in Marketing Management. Emman Patricio holds more than 7 years experience in I.T. Industry on a multitude of projects with roles varying from system designer/developer to system administrator to project lead. He is technically proficient in developing and maintaining web-based/online computer applications and possesses the capability to customize an open-source technology to meet the company business needs. He is currently handling the maintenance and security of the company online systems, databases, websites and back-end administration. Nerie Casipit graduated from University of Perpetual Help - System Dalta in Calamba City with a degree of Bachelor of Science in Accountancy. She is part of GGPC Accounting Department assigned for Internal Audit and to assist other accounting task.

Alexander Salvador is part of the GGPC Administration Group assigned specifically to liaise with the Bureau of Customs. He graduated from the Philippine Maritime Institute with a degree in Customs Administration apart from being a Computer Technology graduate from the Asian Institute of Computer Studies. Alex also handles computer hardware/software maintenance and provides IT support to the GGPC organization.
